The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, 4000 meters (12,000 feet) above sea level, is praised as the Roof of the World. Tibet is regarded as the last pure land on the earth, with breathtaking scenery of Snow Mountains and clear blue waters. Tibet is mysterious in a way that few other places are. Its rugged isolation, mystical religion, fabulous buildings and hardy people continue to captivate the imagination. Visiting Tibet is a cultural, spiritual and natural journey to one of the most unspoiled regions of the world.
