Tsochen lies in the middle and west of Tibet Autonomous Region, southeast of Ngari Prefecture. It covers 22,388 square kilometers with a population 10,000. Tsochen means in Tibetan "large lake". Tsochen has many maintains and the climate there is very dry, with long-time sunlight.
