Dagze County is located in the middle south of the Tibet Autonomous Region, middle reaches of Lhasa River and on the route of Sichuan-Tibet Road.

Dagze County covers an area of 1370 square kilometers. The popuation is 25,000.

Dagze County is at the valley of the middle reaches of Yarlung Zangbo River. Its southeast and northwest part are mountains, with an average altitude of 5500 metres above sea level. The inland part of the county is flat land.
