Maintenance on Three Cultural Relics in Tibet to Finish This Year

Maintenance of three cultural sites in Tibet, which started in 2002, is expected to be complete this year.

With a total investment of 200 million yuan or more than 24 million US dollars, more than one-hundred projects have been directed to preserving the charms of the Potala Palace, a garden in Lhasa, the Luobulinka, and the Sajia Temple, which is a major destination for Tibetan Buddhists.

So far, key maintenance projects on the Potala Palace and Luobulinka have been completed. Some key projects designed to restore the glamour of the Sajia Temple will begin this year.
