Southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region registered a foreign trade volume of 810 million U.S. dollars in the 2001-2005 period, a rise of 28.8 percent over the previous five-year period.
According to the Tibet Autonomous Regional Bureau of Commerce, the region's export reached 580 million U.S. dollars during 2001-2005, up 57 percent over the previous five-year period.
Tibet also utilized 31.93 million U.S. dollars of foreign funds in the past five years, up 64 percent over the previous five-year period.
