The Association of Trans-Himalayan Tour Operators Nepal, an organization which will hold different tourism activities in Nepal for Chinese tourists and for Nepalese tourists in China, was created on Sunday.

It is the first non-governmental organization in the tourism industry of Nepal that hopes to promote Nepal-China relations.

The seven-member association aims to increase tourism between the two countries and facilitate Chinese tourists by providing security and reliable services in Nepal.

Inaugurating the ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Sun Heping noted that there are many co-operative opportunities between Nepal and China in the field of tourism.

At the same occasion, Nepalese Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Buddhi Raj Bajracharya revealed that bus services between Kathmandu and Lasha, the capital of China's Tibet Autonomous Region, will also open soon.
