Xue Shan Binguan
Located just south (right) of the bus station, this is Maqin's premier hotel. That's not a big claim. Midsize rooms in building 2 (er lou) are sunny, beds are comfy, and there are new electric showers for the grubby tubs. Reception staffs are so indolent they will ask you to go and tell the maid to check your room, rather than pick up the phone in front of them.

Xueyu Binguan
To the left of the bus station, on the first corner, is this white-tiled, blue-glass monolith. Relatively new, it's the best choice if you want to avoid CITS. Guest rooms are narrow, but bathrooms are spacious with deep tubs, reversing the usual formula. Diagonally opposite is the Dianxin Binguan, a similar property with dingier bathrooms.
