Buses from Lhatse or Shigatse stop at the Sakya Monastery Guesthouse. Before you get off the bus, buy a ticket for the following day's ride at 11am to either Shigatse (6 hr.; ¥32/$4) or to the intersection with the Friendship Highway (1 1/2 hr.; ¥10/$1.25), if you are continuing west. Otherwise, you're here for 3 days.
