A recent survey by National Geography Magazine reveals that Chinese tourists now prefer higher and better-preserved mountains. Top ten most beautiful mountains voted, with altitudes over 6,000 metres, are Namcha Barwa, Kawagarbo, Kailash, Qomolangma in Tibet Autonomous Region, Sichuan's Minya Konka and Mount Emei, Chenresig in Yunnan Province and Mount Qogir in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, also Huangshan and Taishan.
