The Tibet Ke Ke Xi Li Nature Reserve Administration revealed recently that as world's largest uninhabited area widely known as a dead zone, Ke Ke Xi Li would build the largest ecological tourist resort in the world. The administration has handed in an application to the Ministry of Forestry and is carrying forward prophase planning within the reserve.
"To travel in Ke Ke Xi Li, the first thing is a physical examination," said Liu Zhong, director of the Ke Ke Xi Li Nature Reserve Administration. It might be the only tourist resort in the world to make such a request. Tourists will not come to Ke Ke Xi Li for comfort, and common people cannot enjoy the journey. Tourists must be physically well prepared and experienced in how to survive in the wild. Above all, they must love Nature.
According to Liu, the reserve was applying to the Ministry of Forestry for the project. They plan to bring tourists around Ke Ke Xi Li on buses, enabling them to enjoy the snow-capped mountains and wild animals. Before tasting the pleasure of Ke Ke Xi Li, they must be able to bear its bitterness.
At present the administration is planning to train some tourist guides who have solid experience in outdoor surviving. However, the administration would prohibit tourists from accessing the region on foot because it would be extremely dangerous.
